Merck Healthcare Vietnam
- In 1995, Merck KGaA set up its business in Vietnam through the Representative Office of Lipha Santé, which has since closed.
- Over the next three years, Merck KGaA opened representative offices in Ho Chi Minh City in 1997 and in Hanoi in 1998. This allowed the company to actively participate in the growing biopharmaceutical and chemical markets, both of which have now closed.
- In 2010, Merck Vietnam Ltd. Co. was established to focus on marketing and distributing Merck's chemical products. At the same time, the biopharmaceutical business continued to operate through the representative office model.
- In 2016, the Merck Export Representative Office was created to replace the previous Merck KGaA Representative Office.
- By 2020, Merck Healthcare Vietnam Limited Company was established, marking a change in the business model to a Foreign Investment Enterprise.
